Vitox Estate is a private fund which focuses on refinancing regulated and non-regulated microfinance institutions, local commercial banks and other financial institutions and serve micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Vitox Estate offers primarily long-term senior loans, subordinated debt and term deposits, in either local currency or USD. The fund aims to build a diversified balanced portfolio, with small and medium-sized financial institutions comprising an important part of the client mix.
MSMEs form the backbone of many economies, acting as engines for growth and income generation. Today, access to finance is still by far the largest obstacle to growth for MSMEs alike, particularly in low and middle-income markets. In order to be part of the economic development taking place in their markets, and consequently provide income opportunities to their managers and employees, MSMEs need to have a greater access to funding.
Vitox Estate aims to removing these obstacles and unlock the growth potential of MSMEs.
Asset digitization seems murky and ill-defined to most today. In 5 years, it will be obvious to all. Digital value transfer, along with the ability to atomize and fractionalize all asset categories (and ownership in general) from buildings and bridges to stocks, bonds, loyalty points, and ultimately money itself, is here to stay.
As the famous quote goes, "business is about bundling or unbundling". New networks create opportunities to unbundle incumbent offerings. In fintech (especially post the financial crisis, where traditional companies curtailed or even eliminated parts of their stacks) much of the value created over the last decade has been in startups picking off parts of those stacks.
We're excited to continue investing into the consumer space. We see technology being put to use to great effect and welcome the rise of personalization, subscription offerings, and great branding.

While digitalisation as a trend has been upending most sectors of the economy and society over the past decade, healthcare as a sector remained untouched by the advances in technology.
Our strategy is to invest early comes with several potential challenges. Some factors may determine which healthcare projects, companies, and start-ups are worth investing in, including: the quality of their basic research, the skills of their management team, the financial capability of the company, future relevance, the benefit to patients, and the possibility of future commercialisation.
